Shipping Policy  

Delivery and receipt of goods

  • You will receive your gift hamper in a suitably strong outer box.
  • All goods will have to be signed for at the recipients address.
  • We will deliver your goods Monday – Friday between 9am – 5.30pm
  • We will do our very best to deliver your goods by the date requested, but this cannot be guaranteed.  UK orders received by 12 midday UK time will be sent on the same day for delivery the next working day.
  • For the Scottish Highlands, orders received before 12 midday will be sent the same day, with receipt within 48 hours.
  • Goods containing fresh produce (cheese, ham, pate, salmon etc) are not despatched on a Friday, weekends or Bank Holidays.
  • The recipients address should include the postal code and a contact telephone number (landline or mobile).
  • There may be a delay and extra delivery charge if the address details are incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Any delivery which has been carded, not received and not collected after 5 days will be returned to ourselves.  In such cases there will be a re-delivery charge of £14.75.  If the goods include fresh products then an additional charge will be made for this as appropriate.
  • If there is no-one available at the designated delivery address, we will leave a calling card. This will indicate that the customer/recipient should telephone to re-arrange delivery on a more suitable day.
  • Where the recipient does not contact us immediately on receiving the calling card, we cannot be held responsible for the gift set.
  • We can arrange Saturday and timed next-day deliveries for an extra charge.
  • Any goods lost or damaged in transit in the UK will be replaced by us at no additional charge.
  • In the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland there will be an additional charge of £13.75 per parcel inc. VAT.
  • No deliveries can be made to BFPO addresses or to PO numbers.
  • We do not deliver to addresses outside the UK.
  • You may collect your gift parcels from our depot.  Just simply contact us to book a time for your collection. There will, or course, be no delivery charge where goods are collected.
  • If delivery is not received within 7 days Mainland UK, 14 days for Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland, then you the customer, may cancel the order.

Claims for loss or damages.

  1. You must send your claim to us within 14 days of the date of the order.
  2. You must inform both ourselves and the courier immediately. You must also confirm this to us in writing with 14 days of the order.  The reference number of the parcel should be quoted.
  3. Damaged goods should be kept by you and then forwarded to us as agreed, at our expense, before a refund or replacement can be issued.
  4. Returned goods must display clearly the full name, address and telephone number of the sender.
  5. We cannot accept responsibility for the wrong order or non-delivery that results from incorrect information being provided.

Substitutions

  • We reserve the right to substitute goods for a product of an equal or higher value.  This will only occur very occasionally, for example while we are waiting for stock deliveries.
  • Vintages of wine may change during the year.
  • Gifts containing Christmas items ordered during the rest of the year will have these items substituted automatically, unless otherwise requested.

Alcohol Policy
We cannot sell any product containing alcohol to any person under the age 18.

Cancellations

The customer has the right to cancel an order which has been placed online up to 7 days after receiving the goods.  A refund will be issued within 7 days of return of goods, for the full amount minus the cost of any perishable items or any items that have been consumed or damaged neither will carriage charges be refunded.  We must receive your notification in writing (letter, e-mail, fax).  We will expect the customer to pay return carriage.

Privacy Policy
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 we will only use information we collect about you lawfully. We will not disclose and information to third parties with regard to our customers or recipients of our products, although it may be necessary to telephone customers should we need information concerning their order.  You will find a tick-box on our website which can be used to receive our latest offers and information.  We do contact our Corporate Clients unless asked not to do so.

Vat and duty
Some food products are zero rated for VAT, where this is the case our prices have been calculated accordingly.  The current rate of duty/VAT apply at time of invoicing.

Checkout
On completing your order the transaction details will be displayed on-screen and it is our recommendation that you either print or save these for your records.
Please read the terms and conditions of our company which are set out above, before agreeing to an order.

All products remain the property of this company until payment is received in full.
